The OFFICIAL SECTION of the 11th International Fil Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria comprises a dozen or so titles of full-feature films presented in the competitive section of the Festival. The criteria used to admit both the full-feature films and shorts to enter the competitive sections are simple, but demanding: creative cinema in any form (fiction or non-fiction) which makes manifest a diversity of different outlooks and geographical perspectives within contemporary independent film.
